From chalet Djan é Glyâmo to Les chapelles : a discovery trail.

Starting from the chalet a small path,
meandering between the undergrowth and the meadows, goes up in the mountain. If you take it, it'll lead you to center of the village Les Chapelles. During your stroll, you can enjoy the view of Bellecôte, la pointe rousse, or l'aiguille rouge (beware not to stumble).
When you cross the road, follow it to the West of the village. You will find the Mont-Carmel chapel which welcomes the visitors at the entrance of the village.

The Saint-Martin Church, that you won't fail to recognize.

On your way back to the village, a small picturesque grocery shop will provide you with the basic necessities and the daily newspaper "Le dauphiné libéré".
Then, make your way in the small alleys to arrive to the Saint-Martin Church.
The portal is a creation of Guillaume COCHET d' HAUTECOUR.
The furniture if a gift from the cardinal Alexis BILLIET (1783-1873), a native of the area.
There, a magnificent neo-classical altarpiece with a painting of Saint-Michel can be admired. And in the front of the altar the "last supper" is represented in bas-relief.
You will also find on the sides, many neoclassical altarpieces like the Rosary of TODESCO (1693).

In the small alleys of Les Chapelles, do you feel invited to explore ?
Here, you're outside of time.
The facades, the walls of the houses are the witness of the past centuries.
As you follow the path of the alleys, you will hear the whisper of the water that flows in the fountains, in the lavoirs, as well as in the stream that crosses the village. This will pleasantly liven up your walk.
